“Every life form seems to strive to its maximum except human beings. How tall will a tree grow? As tall as it possibly can. Human beings, on the other hand, have been given the dignity of choice. You can choose to be all or you can choose to be less. Why not stretch up to the full measure of the challenge and see what all you can do?” -- Jim Rohn

--

Um. I'm not too sure that quote goes with the piece too well.

It was a bit of an experiment, But this was fun. I also had a lot of inspiration from many different artists. So I wouldn't really know where to start by listing off names.

So I guess I'll just leave it up for you to enjoy. Much love.

Edit: A did a lot of stuff to it. I'm not sure if this is any better then what I had before... if anything... it's probably worse. But I added texture to the girl, removed a sunflower, and sharpened the image up. Oh and curves too. I dunno. *shrugs*

I remember well how I felt the first time I saw one of your works: "how the heck is she doing these things?!?" :D
I'm really not capable of doing any manipulations at all, and the thing I love so much of yours is the number of elements that you merge together to achieve the overall effect you gain. Every layer seem to merge perfectly with the others, not only blending with tones and shapes, but also with meanings and emotions!

Hahaha. Thanks for the compliment. I mean, not everything is completely merged perfectly... but with more experience, I hope to get better in the future. Thank you so much! :glomp:

Well, maybe it's just me not being an expert of photomanipulations, but I see no flaws in your work! ;)

We all have means to get better, and I'm sure your "better" will be "a great better"! :aww:

The rainbow seems to bring some things together. It keep my eyes looking around and doesn't let anything be a distraction. The whole thing is smooth, it all flows together.
Great piece.

there is so much life in this picture...
it actually reminds me of the climax of a song or movie. the choice of colors and positioning of the objects make this so moving..

In my opinion, the person does not look awkard at all, the sunflowers do (except the one where her hands are bound). Also, it would be nice to see the ladies head a little lighter so you can see some details...overall this is a nicely put together piece and I love it :D

You and your sunflowers. :giggle:

This looks really pretty, hun. I agree with most of what Dan has said... but I have something else to add. You see that little sunflower on the tree on the left? It's exactly the same as the one on the right... or it is to my eyes, which aren't known to be the most observant. What would be good was if you had another sunflower there... one that looks similar to the others, but isn't a duplicate? I'm not sure if I like the texture in the sky either... the woven pattern. I think it'd look nicer smudged a little... but that's personal preference. I have to agree about the person though... it could do with a little reworking... how about if you had extra limbs coming off onto the tree? I know it's a lot of work to get to look realistic, but I think it'd look awesome if you could pull it off. Because it's in a tree though, it'd look more realistic if it were more defined and a little rougher... like how the tree isn't all smooth.

It's all personal preference though and it really does look good the way you have it. Kudos on a pretty image, hun.

Wow, thank you so much for the feedback, hun. <3

Really.. your eyes do not fool you. That sunflower is a duplicate. But honestly I hadn't noticed until you said something about it. And I also do realize the pose and smoothness of the person is a little off.. And I think I might rework that.

As for your limbs idea... ZOMG. THAT SOUNDS SO COOL... But I have no idea how I would even pull it off to make it fit into the piece. But who know, I just may have a go at that as well. ;)

Thank you so much hunnnnni. You are so helpful. :smooch:

..And I couldn't help it with the sunflowers... it just... snuck it's way in there. :giggle:
